This is the Adobe Photoshop CS5 book for intermediate and advanced digital photographers. Scott Kelby is President of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals with access to all the experts and he nows what he writes about.

Scott Kelby shows us by example how to use Photoshop to improve our digital images. He selects an image to use to explain a topic, such as luminosity sharpening. Then he sharpens it, and tells and shows what he is doing and why as he does it. He gives the exact settings used in the example, and tells us what other settings he uses for other images.

This gives the reader settings for doing the same thing with their own images. You can use the settings to get a good image, or as starting points that you adjust to make your image with your photo.

I believe the best way to use this book is to use your own photos as you follow the instructions, but the before and after photos used in the book are available online if you want to be sure that you can get the same results.

This is not just a revised edition. There is so much that is new. Before you even get into Photoshop there are 115 pages covering the new Mini Bridge and the new and improved tools to do almost all of your editing in Camera Raw.

PeachpitBefore you have finished The Adobe Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers you will have learned easier and more efficient ways to make your images look better than ever before.
